This game looks pretty simple at first, but already has a surprising amount of depth and fun synergies. I expected to only play for a run or two, but found myself always wanting to try again. If you're looking for feedback on how to make the gameplay loop a bit more satisfying, maybe after the first run, allow the player to select a starting power, whether it's one of the already existing ones you get as every 5th upgrade, or something new. Though I suppose with the upcoming skill tree and the deer, something like that is already planned.
You're probably already aware of this, but it seems that once bullet speed gets high enough, all of my shots miss. I'm also always fast forwarding if that matters. I don't think it happens with all enemies, just little ones like snakes. I assume that 100% accuracy is also playing a factor here. It's also possible that it's something else entirely going on, but it always happens to me when I get bullet speed really high, like around 15-ish. I had a couple strong runs end with a snake that I couldn't hit attacking my fire.

Yes it is intentional. Actually its just by pressing K. I made this just so I could reset a run quickly. In the next updates it will be an actual button on the menu

Just wanted to know if you could balance some of the pink augments, because as far as I'm concerned, the blue fire and burst augments suck. Maybe change the blue fire so that it ignores armor or something (would balance the measly extra 50 damage late game) and maybe change the burst to 5 shots every 50 fireballs or keep it the same, but they have an explosive AoE when they hit the ground. (Idk maybe like the size of the lava puddle or smth.)
Just noticed that because they are essentially doodoo compared to statik and life steal.
Anyway, I'm not a game dev and am stupid and shit so this probably doesn't matter and stuff.
TL;DR: Blue fire and burst are stinky, made me sad when I looked at the lack of how helpful they are.
ahaha the game is still in need of some balancing. I will try to improve the blue flame and burst shot base effect to not have such a difficult early game. As for the blue flame late-game, I'm gonna try to buff it a bit when the meta-progression/skill tree update comes out.
I have an idea for the full release,(or updated version) maybe the flame guys facial expressions could change, like more damage = angrier face, more health = happier face, random upgrades = confused face, or maybe something like that.

Well yes, when you pick the “+2 random silver augments” you can get any silver augment, including another “+2 random silver augments”. That was what happened in your case. Theoretically you can get an infinite amount of augments out of the +2 silvers (with an unrealistic amount of luck ofc)
I'm pretty sure it does, at least no one has ever complained about it. The thing is that the base stat of the multicast ability is only a 10% chance, you have to upgrade it from there. You can check the effects tab to see more.
Great game but needs some balancing. For example we can redraw all 3 cards, if we could redraw only 1 card it would be more suitable. And random 3 cards are little bit too op. Also we need a pause button to check our augments etc.
Redrawing the 3 cards will be better in the future when even more augments exist. I want to give the player a bit of freedom when choosing their build. It would be frustrating not getting the cards that you need just because one was unlucky
i'm absurdly in love with this game ! even though it seems like a simple concept, to be a cute campfire and survive, the mechanics are so interesting and every time you lose you have this feeling of wanting to learn more about the game so that you can survive longer
If you're looking for a "bad thing" in the game perhaps the only thing you can "complain" about is the art simplicity, but I myself think it gives the game a specific charm,but if you still want some options, I think the game would look very nice if it was pixelated! but I still love how cute and fun everything is
I also really liked the artistic reference to the TFT Augments! It's a light art for the eyes and the colors help you understand the importance and strength of each item you choose, so you can easily play the game without a tutorial
it would be a lot of fun if in the future there could be a quick cutscene to give context when you start the game (maybe some more characters idk?) and some soundtrack (which I personally think would be a challenge to find a music that didn't end up becoming tiresome after a while)
I highly recommend it for people who like strategy games and want something simple to distract their minds after a tiring day, i will definitely play more and look forward to the next updates

So yeah, the double/triple random, are VERY powerful early on. Just DONT expand the options for a few times (as it increases what the randoms can hit)
You want accuracy at 60 or higher ASAP, with a good mix of aspd too.
Once you get that, static is the next big thing (this is MASSIVE later on, so get it early) Then try to get leech (and NEVER get heal ups, unless it comes with a max HP upgrade)
IGNORE BASE DMG ENTIRELY (static will VASTLY overpower it)

Very fun! So far my best is round 40, but i'll def beat that knowing which augments to not take.
Random side note: pressing j and k at the same time instantly kills you. No idea if this is intentional but i found it by accident.
Yes it is intentional. Actually its just by pressing K. I made this just so I could reset a run quickly. In the next updates it will be an actual button on the menu

I had the settings screen up when my game ended and got stuck on the game over screen.
When the turtles came I started to wonder if maybe I was the bad guy.
Yes if you die with the menu tab open that bug happens. Its not a hard to solve and I will fix it once the next version deploys.
Admittedly, the only thing hard about the turtles is seeing them die :(

I'm pretty sure it does, at least no one has ever complained about it. The thing is that the base stat of the multicast ability is only a 10% chance, you have to upgrade it from there. You can check the effects tab to see more.

Since the game is still in development I didn't add a proper reset button. However, you can always reset your run by pressing "k"

really solid game! the only thing i would wanna change is to add a soundtrack and sound aswell as support for ultrawide monitors.

This is so fun I'm really enjoying high attack speed builds for a more crowd control version of glass cannon
brown worms are to fast i suggest reducing their speed by about 10%
get electric and lifesteal, you can heal faster than they can attack

- rounding problems on some effect % values (59.999999%)
- getting both armor piercing upgrades gives the enemies armor back (?)
- sometimes enemies ignored the freeze effect and kept moving at normal speed with the frozen sprite

- add an upgrade autobuyer so people don't have to leave the game running with an autoclicker
- maybe add an option to disable damage text? should help a bit with lategame performance
